Rowe Fine Furniture Shows all Brand Collections Under One Roof in New High Point Showroom Beginning in April

February 23, 2009 (Elliston, VA) - Rowe Fine Furniture will open the doors to a new showroom on Saturday, April 25th when the High Point Furniture Market begins. The new destination is showroom 1103 in the Commerce Wing of the IHFC Building. All of RoweÕs brand portfolio collections, including Rowe, Clayton Marcus and Robin Bruce, will be shown in one showroom for the first time.

The decision to occupy a new showroom, and renovate it to suit the needs of a portfolio of collections, is inline with the company's mission to provide buyers with a selection of traditional to contemporary styles and customized upholstery options from one manufacturer. "The strength of centralizing our manufacturing, customer service and High Point showroom translates into a more seamless business relationship with our customers," explains Stefanie J. Lucas, President & CEO of Rowe Fine Furniture.

Rowe's decision to maintain a showroom in High Point and in the IHFC Building acknowledges the importance of the bi-annual Market in North Carolina and also the benefit of being in the largest showroom complex in the city. Previously Rowe occupied showrooms on the 10th and 7th floors in the IHFC Building.

The new showroom on the 11th floor, with an entrance around the corner from the Commerce Wing elevators, offers over 43,000 square feet to display Rowe's award-winning upholstered furniture collections. Renovations began in November 2008, shortly after the last High Point Market. Visitors to the new showroom will encounter a new reception area; new wood flooring in the Clayton Marcus area; stained concrete floors in the rest of the showroom; and a more expansive feeling overall with heightened ceilings and new track lighting.

The Rowe Café will continue to attract hundreds of visitors in its new showroom location during the busy lunch time hours at Market.

Purity to Forbidden: From Tinted Neutral to Deep Jewels

Global Apparel Trends Inspire the early '09 Robin Bruce Collections

January 16, 2009 (Elliston, VA) - Home furnishings décor trends for early 2009 will revolve around two fundamental concepts: Purity and Forbidden. The color and texture of fabrics will offer a range of Tinted Neutral to Deep Jewels textiles with both simplicity and boldness. Rowe Fine Furniture, the manufacturer of the Robin Bruce collection of upholstered furniture, has worked with trend expert, Mr. Kai Chow for several years to tap into global apparel trends and with Kai's insight, the Robin Bruce collections for early '09 are a natural evolution from global apparel trends.

Purity: Tinted Neutral The emerging trend for early '09 of Tinted Neutral is best described as a search for a pure, soft aesthetic. Ninety natural fiber fabrics, including eight new certified organic cottons, are the foundation of this trend. The colors range from pure white to creamy vanilla to barely blue and natural ecru. A washed, soft hand to the fabrics add a pleasing touch to compliment the lightness in color. Floral patterns are more in silhouette and contemporary.

Forbidden: Deep Jewels Simultaneously, early '09 trends point to a desire for more Deep Jewels epitomized by richer colors and handcrafted textures. Asian and Far Eastern influences are noticeable and a bold approach to pattern is desired. Colors range from rich reds and golds to accents of black and intense blues. Such home décor statements create iconic pieces in a room setting rather than a more harmonious tonal palette.

These seemingly contrasting trends both point to a desire to define home furnishings with more fashion sensibility. The Robin Bruce collection was conceived as a custom upholstery line of furniture to allow consumers to explore, imagine and create unique home environments.

Eco and Organic Elements are Integrated into the Robin Bruce Collection of Upholstered Furniture

October 14, 2008 (Elliston, VA) - Rowe Fine Furniture announces that eco and organic elements have been integrated into the production of its designer collection of upholstered furniture, known as Robin Bruce. Fabrics, cushion cores and wood used in the frames now bare environmentally friendly elements similar to the company"s main Rowe Furniture collection. The EcoRowe concept was introduced in October 2007 and proved a popular enhancement to the existing, award-winning upholstery collection.

During the October 2008 High Point Furniture Market, the new Robin Bruce styles, as well as the existing styles that are on display, will offer:

90 natural fiber fabrics including the introduction of 8 certified organic cottons; eco-elements in the cushion cores of the existing three options, the "Lisa", "Susan" and "Katie" cushions; and the use of wood from replenished forests in the making of the frames.

Natural Fiber Fabrics including Certified Organic Cottons The Robin Bruce collection of 90 natural fiber fabrics includes:

8 certified organic cottons
66 cotton fabrics
5 linen fabrics
9 linen/cotton blends
1 hemp
1 bamboo/cotton blend
The introduction of eight certified organic cotton fabrics demonstrates our commitment to providing consumers with a high level of eco-friendly options. In order for an upholstery cotton fabric to be considered organic, the cotton must be raised and harvested in accordance with the strict standards of one or more of the many certification companies within the United States or abroad.

The organic cotton fabrics included in the Robin Bruce Collection are woven using 100% IMO (Institute of Marketecology*) certified organic cotton that has been grown through a carefully guided and strictly regulated process which dictates that no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers are used. Also, the soil has to be pesticide-free for three years before the cotton can be grown. All of the organic yarns are dyed by an IMO certified dyer using IMO certified, low-impact, earth friendly dyes with less metal compounds than most dyes. Each shipment of organic cotton fabric is accompanied by an IMO certification.

Certified organic cotton is sustainable, renewable, and biodegradable, making it an excellent choice as an environmentally-friendly fiber throughout its product cycle.

Certified organic cotton fabrics are naturally hypoallergenic and non-irritating. They are also finished with an Eco Wash process which uses anti-migrant, bio-degradable solvents to prevent color migration. The Eco Wash Process uses 90% less water during the wash and 50% less gas during the drying time. In addition, the water which is used is recycled.

Eco Cushion Cores

The three cushion core options in the Robin Bruce collection are:

"Lisa" - A duck feather/down and fiber blend with a high-resiliency foam core in the center which is wrapped with a softer foam. The fiber is a material that was used for another purpose (i.e. soda bottles, etc.). It is considered a renewable resource hence it is eco-friendly and sustainable. The combination of the fiber with the feather/down blend creates the necessary resiliency for the cushion.

"Katie" - A very dense and layered blend of duck feather and down with a high resiliency foam core in the center surrounded by another wrap of softer foam. The duck feather and down are hypo-allergenic due to the cleaning process via bio-degradable emulsifiers, etc. "Susan" - A high-resiliency foam core used in designs where a more tailored styling is desirable. This cushion offers a medium-firm seating experience. A highly-durable comfort material containing plant based renewable, raw materials. Natural ingredients replace significant amounts of the petroleum-based materials traditionally used in foam.

Eco Wood Frames

Rowe Fine Furniture, Inc. is proud to be a founding member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council. Lumber which is harvested from domestic forests which are replenished is used in the production of furniture frames for the Robin Bruce Collection.

*The Institute of Marketecology (IMO) is one of the first and most renowned international agencies for inspection, certification and quality assurance of eco-friendly products. Their world-wide activities are accredited by numerous international governing organizations as well as USDA for organic certification according to the American National Organic Program (NOP). Banfi Zambrelli are Inspired by the Luxury of Relaxation for Their Second Collection for Robin Bruce

October 1, 2007 (McLean, VA) - The Banfi Zambrelli Collection for Robin Bruce (BZRB) debuts a new collection of couture-inspired upholstered furniture at the International Home Furnishing Market in High Point, North Carolina. The second collection from the luxury design studio of Banfi Zambrelli includes two tailored sofa groups, one slipcover sofa group, one bench, one armless accent chair and a chair/ottoman and chaise group. All new pieces will appear at retail across the country beginning in February 2008.

Silvano Banfi and Frank Zambrelli are known for their signature designs for top houses including Judith Leiber, Calvin Klein and Nanette Lepore in addition to their eponymous line of women's couture footwear, which is available at Neiman Marcus.

The design team of Banfi Zambrelli continues to embrace the concept of luxury with their second collection for Robin Bruce. Clean, straight lines and sinuous curves define the styling of the furniture and a selection of woven fabrics accentuates the designs. Ultimately though, as Frank Zambrelli explains, "Today's luxury is really about having time for yourself and time to enjoy what you have in your life."

Each of the pieces of upholstered furniture in this second collection considers the luxury of downtime, and how we relax today. The depths of the seats are deeper, the angles are at a steeper recline and the arm rests may be wider. Color and fabric take their cues from the masculine and feminine: earthy and tonal colors like chocolate, sage, pinstripes and a spectrum of gray, flattered by the more feminine pops of raspberry paisley, orange crush, and lilac velvet.

As Zambrelli believes, "There is no longer a mutual exclusivity between luxury and relaxation. They are reciprocal, even the same."

Couture and Luxury Designers Banfi Zambrelli Create Their First Ever Furniture Line for Robin Bruce to be introduced at High Point Market

Banfi Zambrelli for Robin Bruce Brings Fashion into the Home with a mix of 'Pure' and 'Sinful' Designs February 26, 2007 (New York, NY) - Known for their signature designs for top houses including Judith Leiber, Calvin Klein and Nanette Lepore, as well as their own couture shoe line; Silvano Banfi and Frank Zambrelli have taken their shared vision into a new realm of fashion design - furniture. Robin Bruce has enlisted the highly sought after team to design their new Fall 2007 collection of upholstery furniture.

The Banfi Zambrelli for Robin Bruce collection will debut at the High Point International Home Furnishings Market in March 2007 and will be available in select stores in May 2007. The line of custom designed sofas, chairs and ottomans brings to life Banfi and Zambrelli's vision of "pure" and "sinful," with clean-line styles and textiles ranging from shimmering textures to rich brocades. "We approached furniture design the way we do all forms of fashion, we envision a certain type of woman and bring to life an aesthetic that would please her," said Banfi.

"Every woman has a good girl and a bad girl inside; our furniture designs and fabrics represent the alter egos of the same person. One day she wants to wear striking jewel tones and the next white linen. This same woman would also want to express both her pure and sinful sides in her home décor - she was our inspiration," said Zambrelli.

"Robin Bruce is a creative line of furniture and we thought the best way to show its versatility was to invite guest designers Frank Zambrelli and Silvano Banfi to put their mark on it. It gives a unique and sophisticated perspective to Robin Bruce," said Stefanie Lucas, Senior Vice President of Robin Bruce and Rowe Furniture, LLC.

The design team looked to luxury forms of transportation as inspiration for the aero-dynamic lines of their modernized chairs, sofas and ottomans, reinterpreting classics such as 1930's club furniture, and the streamlined aesthetic of seating found inside a Gulf Stream 5 or a yacht. "We are known for designing pieces on the classic side of the very modern. Our Banfi Zambrelli for Robin Bruce pieces are no different; they are not contemporary just for the sake of modernity, but are pieces that will be striking in the home for years and years to come," said Zambrelli.

As always with Robin Bruce, customers can choose to customize the pieces with a myriad of fabrics and colors. Pure and sinful looks can be mixed for an eclectic look, or matched for a tonal look. Banfi Zambrelli for Robin Bruce, like all Robin Bruce designs, will be delivered in about 30 days of purchase, unlike most customizable furniture brands that can take months to be delivered to the customer.

Silvano Banifi and Frank Zambrelli will be in the Robin Bruce showroom Monday through Wednesday, March 26th - 28th. There will be a cocktail reception to meet the designers Tuesday afternoon, beginning at 5:30 PM. For more information, call Heather Shaw at 202-468-4349 or email at shawh@hisaokapr.com.
